The decimation of the print newspaper industry continues with the announcement that four Michigan daily publications will eliminate editions and one outlet will be entirely extinct by the summer. A cost-cutting spree at parent company Advance Publications will reverberate throughout the country as staff at major dailies in Cleveland, New Orleans and other cities will be required to take two-week furloughs.
