Great Lakes documentary on The History Channel

The History Channel's How the Earth Was Made series covered the formation of the Great Lakes the other night - saw some buzz about it on Twitter. So far it looks like a treat for Great Lakes nerds like us.

You can watch whenever you want online here. Sadly, it isn't embeddable.

Side note: I love how The History Channel tries to make everything, no matter how fun and nerdy, as hardcore as a bad Steven Segal movie. They use metal guitar riffs, a movie-trailer voice over and quick edgy cuts to make make geologists talking about fossilized sponge creatures as sexy and dangerous as possible. Why not let me just enjoy my fun learning in all its nerdiness?
